Evangelism & Outreach If
Jesus appeared on earth today as he did 2000 years ago, many Churches would not elect him
to their official boards, because he was known to run with the wrong crowd. The apostle Luke comments that tax collectors and
sinners would seek him out to hear what he had to say.
When they came to Him, Jesus welcomed them warmly, and often enjoyed dinner
with them. Socializing with people like this
ruined his reputation among the spiritual leaders of His day, yet, the fact remains that
Jesus went out of his way to cultivate those relationships. If Gods people are
serious about following Him, we must do the same thing.
In fact, it was so important to Jesus that we understand this, that His very
last words to His disciples here on earth were,
go into all the world and preach the good news to all
creation (Mark 16:16). The
Worship Center is dedicated to reaching its community for God, and our desire is to take
the Gospel and the power of God outside the four walls of this Church. In John chapter 4, Jesus says
Open your eyes and look at the fields!
They are ripe for the harvest. As a
Church, God is opening the eyes of our hearts more than ever as we endeavor to reach our
community. We
sponsor monthly Evangelism outreaches. Each
month, we go out into the community to evangelize, hand out Bibles, Christian literature,
and to pray. The format changes each month
depending on our location. Each time we go
out we go looking to reach people of all ages, color, and race; For we are all Gods
children and His desire is for every nation,
tribe, language and people (Revelation 6:7) to come and worship Him. We
also have a childrens tract team that goes out on a monthly basis and passes
out tracts in the community. Our children are
taught, trained, and equipped, and are very effective because people have a hard time
saying no to children. They are taught to
obey the great commission, trained to reach the lost, and they are equipped to enter their
teenage years with an uncompromising passion to reach their generation for Christ. Our Food Bank is another form of outreach that our Church provides. People come and not only receive food, but they receive literature, prayer, council, and encouragement. Those with a need who attend our Wednesday service are ministered to. This ministry also touches those from our community that have need of food every Thursday morning. This is a unique outreach, in that people come to our doors, instead of us going out.
